Kim Soo Hyun’s agency drop motive to confer condolence money to Kim Sae Ron’s family

Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, has allegedly withdrawn its intentions to get in touch with the family of the late actress Kim Sae Ron.

A crisis management team led by the agency reportedly sought to meet with Kim Sae Ron’s grieving family in order to have a conversation and end the ongoing conflict. Nevertheless, all communication was stopped when a representative called her father. They tried to contact her father once more, but the agency never heard back.

Soon after, an edited image of Kim Soo Hyun at Kim Sae Ron’s house doing the dishes with his pants down was released by the Garo Sero Research Institute. In revenge for the Gold Medalist’s inadequate answer to the claims that Kim Soo Hyun dated Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor, reporter-turned-YouTuber Kim Se Ui shared the image.

In response to the photo’s release, the Gold Medalist said that Kim Sae Ron was an adult when it was taken in 2019.

The note from GOLD MEDALIST read, “The photos disclosed by Gaseyeon were taken on December 14, 2019. There is no justifiable reason for indiscriminately exposing private photos of Mr. Kim Soo Hyun and the deceased.”

An informant as quoted by Koreaboo claims that Gold Medalist was attempting to get in touch with Kim Sae Ron’s family to resolve the “misunderstanding” prior to the release of that explicit image.

It was stated that Gold Medalist was thinking of giving the grieving family money as a token of sympathy, but the plan was quickly shelved following the disclosure of Kim Soo Hyun’s picture. The decision was made in order to minimize any legal risks.

As of now, the agency appears to have given up on using communication to resolve the problem and instead opted for a more aggressive counteraction strategy.

Netizens have been even more critical of the Gold Medalist once it was revealed that they had originally intended to donate consolation money.
