Kwak Sun Young shares insights on Crash; reveals her favourite Indian film
In South Korea, Someone’s theatrical run will begin from October 4.

is one of the most well-known actresses in South Korea with nearly ten years of experience in the K-drama industry. In the mystery-thriller Somebody, which also starred Lee Seol and Kwon Yuri in the lead roles, she recently returned to the big screen. At the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia, she gave some sneak peek into the season 2 of Crash during an interview.
Kwak Sun Young disclosed in an interview with Pinkvilla that the second season of Crash is currently planning to be released at the end of 2025 or the beginning of 2026.
“I can assure you that the team including the cast and the directors are ready to give full efforts,” she said
She gave some hints regarding her role in the movie Somebody in addition to discussing Crash Season 2. She portrays swimming coach Lee Yeong Eun in this mystery thriller, who lives alone with her daughter So Hyun (Gi So Yoo), age seven. As her kid begins to exhibit violent tendencies that eventually get out of hand, things get challenging for her.
Regarding her inspiration for this role, Kwak Sun Young said “There are some elements that are common with the character Yeong Eun.”
She clarified that, in addition to doing her best to care for and raise So Hyun no matter how challenging the circumstances may be on screen, she is also a devoted mother off screen. She does, however, believe that Yeong Eun is a much more nuanced character with a lot going on.
The Inspector Koo actress concluded by mentioning her wish to work with others on Indian projects in the future, praising Ram Charan and Jr. NTR’s RRR as one of the best movies in recent times.
