Malaika and Amrita Arora’s father passed away early on Wednesday, as reported by ANI. He was sixty-two. The star posted a formal statement on her Instagram account on Wednesday night, saying that his death had left the entire family “in deep shock.”

The statement mentioned, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support and respect. With gratitude, Joyce, Malaika, Amrita Shakeel, Arhaan, Azaan , Rayyan, Casper, Axl, Duffy and Buddy.”
Deets about the case
Malaika’s father passed away on Wednesday morning, according to a report from the news agency PTI. Anil allegedly leaped from a building in the Bandra area on its sixth storey, according to a police official who spoke with PTI. He was taken to a hospital by police who arrived too soon and pronounced him dead.
A source stated as quoted by PTI, “It’s true that Malaika’s father passed away this morning. He has not committed suicide, it’s an accident. They all are shocked because he had no ailment or anything as such.”
