MBC Drama Awards 2024: Winners list leaked online despite the event postponement

The 2024 MBC Drama Awards’ pre-recorded broadcast was postponed due to the unfortunate crash-landing of the Jeju Air flight, however on Monday, December 30, the winners list from the live event was unavoidably leaked online. According to reports, South Korean TV celebrity Kim Sung Joo and Chae Soo Bin returned to their long-running hosting roles. Since her acting debut, it was the When the Phone Rings K-drama starlet’s first major MC appearance.

Lee Hanee of Knight Flower, Kim Nam Joo of Wonderful World, Lee Je Hoon of Chief Detective 1958, Kim Hee Sung of Bitter Sweet Hell, Byun Yo Han of Black Out, Han Suk Kyu of Doubt, and Yoo Yeon Seok of When the Phone Rings were all nominated for the Grand Prize/Daesang of the evening.

Lee Hye Young and Kim Hee Sun (Bitter Sweet Hell), Han Suk Kyu and Cha Won Bin (Doubt), Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin (When the Phone Rings), Lee Jong Won and Lee Hanee (Knight Flower), and Lee Je Hoon and Lee Dong Hwi (Chief Detective 1958) were nominated for the Best Couple Award.
