Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the stars were left unnoticed and were awarded with limited screen time and traction during the Vogue’s red carpet livestream. In response to the backlash, a representative from Vogue stated in conversation with The New York Times that the coverage “was certainly not intentional” in chipping off Diljit so abruptly. They added that host Ego Nwodim was also cognizant in acknowledging that Shah Rukh is the first male Bollywood actor to walk down the coveted carpet, overriding the claims made by netizens.

Shah Rukh Khan arrived in a white tailored ensemble, crafted by celebrated Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee while Diljit was spotted in an ivory sherwani with intricate details designed by Purab Gurung. His look was completed with a ceremonial sword and a cap inscribed with the map of Punjab.
