Mohanlal and filmmaker Jeethu Joseph has reunited for the much awaited third installment of the blockbuster  Drishyam franchise. Further details on the production however the team and actors will begin filming on September 2025.

According to Cinema For You, the duo may end up postponing the anticipated project, Ram, yet again and focus on Drishyam 3. Nonetheless, an official verification is awaited.

The 2013 film was a crime thriller helmed by Jeethu Joseph. The film features Georgekutty, a family man who lives a simplistic life until an unfortunate night happens. The family gets engulfed in Varun Prabhakar’s missing case and the rest is history.

In 2021, Drishyam 2: The Resumption, starring Mohanlal was released. The second film was directly streamed on Amazon Prime Video. It yet again grabbed terrific traction on the OTT.

The Hindi version of the film starring Ajay Devgn has been one of the highest grossers. The Bollywood superstar is also bracing for the third part of the Drishyam franchise. As per Pinkvilla, the actor will be on board with filmmaker Abhishek Pathak and the filming will begin from August 2025.

Mohanlal’s upcoming projects

The South superstar will be next seen in a feel-good film Hridayapoorvam, helmed by Sathyan Anthikad alongside Malavika Mohanan. He also has Vrusshabha and MMMN in the pipeline.
