Mohini Dey, the bassist for the music director, revealed that she and her husband, Mark Hurtsuch, had separated just hours after AR Rahman and Saira Banu announced their divorce. Finally, Mohini has responded to deny any link between the two announcements. She responded to trolls by asking them to respect her privacy and stating that she had declined invitations for interviews because “she didn’t want to waste her energy on unfounded rumors.”
Mohini Dey posted on her Instagram story, “I’ve been getting a humungous amount of requests for interviews and I know exactly what its about so, I have to respectfully turn each one down because I am not interested in fueling into ABSOLUTE BS.”
She continued, “I believe my energy is not worth spending on RUMOURS. Kindly, respect my privacy.”

After 29 years of marriage, musician and music composer AR Rahman and his wife, Saira Banu, shocked everyone by announcing their divorce. Rahman’s bassist, Mohini Dey, announced her divorce from her spouse, Mark Hurtsuch, on November 19, barely hours after they circulated their social media post.
Additionally, although Rahman and Saira’s lawyer denied any link between the two breaks, Mohini responded to the online accusations and urged people to respect her privacy.
In a different update, Rahman’s son, AR Ameen, vehemently refuted the reports linking Mohini Dey to his parents’ purported split. He referred to his father as a “legend” and lamented the spread of untrue myths.

When talking about someone’s life and legacy, he emphasized the value of honesty and decency, urging others to avoid disseminating false information and to respect his father’s honor and the profound influence he has had on countless others.
At the age of nine, Mohini Dey, a talented vocalist, producer, and songwriter, started her musical career. In addition to her collaborations with Rahman, she has worked with a number of well-known worldwide artists over the course of her career, such as Shivamani, Willow Smith, Steve Vai, Marco Minnemann, Jordan Rudes, and Zakir Hussain.
