Padmaavat: A historical saga to win over the trials of fire

Padmaavat – The film that has gained more number of controversies than any other Indian Movie in the history of Bollywood has been finally released.

Known for her Beauty in the 13th century, Rani Padmavati (Deepika Padukone) is the wife of Maharawal Ratan Singh (Shahid Kapoor). Her Faith completely changed when she captured the fancy of the reigning Sultan of Delhi, Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer Singh) who could go to great lengths just to fulfill his desires.

The movie Padmaavat is based on the Sufi poem written in 1540 by Malik Muhammad Jayasi . Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the director of the movie has added Bollywood touch to the movie.Bhansali added two of his favorite talents giants in the movie Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone along with the Nation Award winner Shahid Kapoor, to complete the trio of acting talent.

The Ruler of Mewar is strong, intelligent and honest. He brings a regal aura to the character that warrants him winning everything that he could imagine, including the region of Mewar, the confidence of the people and most importantly, the love of Rani Padmavati. Deepika, in the role of Queen has brought life to the character of Rani Padmavati. She could rightly be called beauty with brain. The two lives happily in Mewar until Alauddin Khilji came to their lives. He was so fascinated by the beauty of the Queen that he wants her at any cost. Ranveer has played the role of a cruel king who is consumed with a ravenous libido for power and flesh. Aditi Rao Haidri, playing the role of Mehrunissa gets a rude awakening when she discovers her husband Alauddin’s true nature.

The scenes between Shahid and Ranveer are some of scenes shot in the movie that could rightly be called the heart of Padmavati.

The 3D movie will take you to a whole new experience in the theatre that is surely going to please you. The Jaw dropping scenery shot by Sudeep Chatterjee , the cinematographer of the movie adds to the screenplay . When viewed completely, we can conclude that Padmaavat is an entertaining movie which brought large canvas experience to life.
