Sydney Sweeney will soon be starring in another big project with Johnny Depp. Day Drinker, a supernatural thriller directed by Marc Webb, is reportedly featuring Sweeney and Depp, as per The InSneider, Jeff Sneider’s newsletter.
For those who don’t know, Webb is the renowned filmmaker of The Amazing Spider-Man and 500 Days of Summer.
Consequence Film reports that Day Drinker, featuring Sweeney and Depp, will explore the themes of love, friendship and retribution. It is based on an original story by Zach Dean. According to reports, Depp will play a mysterious stranger in the movie, while Sweeney will play a grieving bartender dealing with the loss of her lover.
Following her breakthrough role in Euphoria, Sweeney went on to establish herself as Hollywood’s new leading lady. After delivering exceptional performances in Anyone But You and Madame Webb, she maintains her momentum in her most recent film, Immaculate.
In the 2023 historical drama Jeanne du Barry, Johnny Depp made his most recent appearance as King Louis XV. He has also been filming a movie on the Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani. It is said that the movie is presently in the post-production stage.
If Day Drinker turns out well, it will be Johnny Depp’s first big project since his court battle with ex-wife Amber Heard in 2021.
