PadMan film is based on true story of entrepreneur Mr. Arunachalam Muruganantham, who was awarded Padma Shri (highest civilian award) last year by the GOI. He was also placed in TIME magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world in 2014.
Actor will play, the school drop-out from Coimbatore who made his life’s mission to provide low-cost sanitary napkins to poor women across rural regions in India.
PadMan is his wife Twinkle Khanna’s home production venture and Akshay kumar is shooting along with Radhika Apte in Indore. Akshay is playing the central character in the film, while Radhika Apte plays his wife. Akki’s fan club shared pictures during shooting on social media. In the pictures Akshay is seen taking Radhika on a bicycle ride in the rustic setting.
