The Bear star Jeremy Allen White in talks to feature in Bruce Springsteen’s biopic

Jeremy Allen White’s talent has cemented his place in the entertainment industry. White is most popular for his role as Philip Gallagher in the TV series Shameless, but he has also appeared in several other well-known shows and films.
Jeremy Allen White is in talks to play the renowned rock star in Deliver Me From Nowhere, which has also caught A24’s interest. The film, which is based on Warren Zanes’ book of the same name published in 2023, will explore the creation of Bruce Springsteen’s landmark 1982 album, Nebraska. The renowned director himself will be directing the screenplay, which was written by Scott Cooper. The production is being led behind the scenes by Gotham Group, with producers Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson.
White co-starred alongside Zac Efron in last year’s A24 wrestling-themed film The Iron Claw, following his breakout performance as Carmy in the FX series The Bear. The actor’s work on the cooking-focused show has received critical acclaim, culminating in his first Emmy Award win at the January ceremony.
Deliver Me From Nowhere will be directed by Scott Cooper, who is well-known for his work on critically praised movies including Crazy Heart (2009), Out of the Furnace (2013), Black Mass (2015) and The Pale Blue Eye (2022).
