Mrunal Thakur has been making waves in the acting world with her promising performances in movies like Sita Ramam and Hi Nanna. It appears that the actress will soon make her Tamil screen debut, with Raghava Lawrence’s Kanchana series.
According to a recent Valai Pechu story, Mrunal Thakur is reportedly being considered for the lead part in Lawrence’s upcoming movie, Kanchana 4.
Is Mrunal Thakur the next choice for Kanchana 4?
Raghava Lawrence has reportedly been attempting to move forward with his fifth film in the Kanchana 4 series. Not only would the actor play the lead part in the horror-comedy film once more, but he would also take the helm as director.
The actor-turned-choreographer’s 2007 film Muni served as the original launchpad for the film series. The movie, which the actor also directed, told the tale of a young guy named Ganesh who has phasmophobia, or a fear of ghosts.
The movie was a box office hit and served as the impetus for a horror-comedy series in Tamil cinema, most likely Aranmanai. As of 2019, the movie series has produced four features, Muni 4: Kanchana 3 being the most recent.
Even though there has been no official announcement of Mrunal’s arrival as the lead heroine in the installment, but it will be interesting to have her on board.
Raghava Lawrence’s new projects
Raghava Lawrence last appeared in the lead role of Jigarthanda DoubleX, a film directed by Karthik Subbaraj. SJ Suryah costarred in the film, which was a prequel and spiritual sequel to Karthik’s Jigarthanda (2014).
The actor will soon be seen in the key parts of Durga and Adhigaaram, both of which are helmed by Durai Senthil Kumar of Garudan. Additionally, he is scheduled to star in the Lokesh Kanagaraj-produced film Benz.
