Beyoncé shared the track list for her upcoming album, “Act ll: Cowboy Carter,” on Wednesday.
Fans got a sneak peek on the singer’s Instagram account, as she dropped a photo that appears to include the titles of her songs: from the previously released “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages,” now including “American Requiem,” “Blackbird,” “Protector,” “My Rose,” “Bodyguard,” “Daughter,” “Spaghetti,” “Alligator Tears,” “Smoke Hour ll,” “Just For Fun,” “ll Most Wanted,” “Levi’s Jeans,” “Flamenco,” “Ya Ya,” “Oh Louisiana,” “Desert Eagle,” “Riverdance,” “ll Hands ll Heaven,” “Tyrant,” “Sweet Honey Buckin,” and “Amen.”
There seems to be a song titled “The Linda Martell Show,” which alludes to the groundbreaking country music artist who became the first Black woman to perform at the Grand Ole Opry.
Additionally, a track titled “Jolene,” which alludes to one of Dolly Parton’s most well-known songs, and “Dolly P,” which is probably a reference to Parton, are mentioned.
Parton said earlier this month that she believed Beyoncé had recorded a cover of her 1973 classic in an interview with Knox News, which was held to celebrate the seasonal opening of her amusement park Dollywood.
“She said, Well, I think she has. “I think she’s recorded ‘Jolene’ and I think it’s probably gonna be on her country album, which I’m very excited about that.”
“Smoke Hour Willie Nelson” is also included on the track list, although it’s not immediately clear if Nelson is involved on the project.
