Grammy Award winner for Best African Music Performance and 2023 song “Water,” Tyla, hinted about a potential loving friendship with Blackpink’s Lisa. When artists become the topic of the internet, you know a pleasant plot twist is coming shortly. The same chain of events happened when the 22-year-old R&B singer posted a surprising update on her Instagram account.
The South African musician made her breakthrough in 2019 with the single Getting Late and rose to global fame with the 2023 track Water. Following her Grammy-winning success with her last-released project, she will release her self-titled debut album on March 22. Her new best friend and K-pop star Blackpink’s Lisa posted a tease on social media, increasing excitement for the jaw-dropping music that’s about to happen.

Even if the Thai rapper isn’t featured on the forthcoming March 22 song, a Tyla-Blackpink Lisa collaboration is undoubtedly in the works.
