North West, the eldest daughter of Kim Kardashian, is carrying on her father’s legacy. At a Vultures listening party, the 10-year-old announced her forthcoming first album, Elementary School Dropout, while sharing the stage with Kanye West.

In a video posted by Pop Base on X, previously Twitter, North can be heard saying to the audience, “I’ve been working on an album, and it’s called Elementary School Dropout.” She ran off stage immediately after the statement, drawing loud cheers from the crowd. The Flashing Lights rapper, who was also on stage, can be seen sporting a mask and his typical all-black outfit.

Her video sparked a debate on social media over whether she is too young to be working on such an album. The album’s title, which seems to be a reference to Kanye’s 2004 first album, The College Dropout, concerned a lot of people. One user said, “I’m praying she didn’t actually drop out of elementary school.” Another wrote, “You can do anything as long as you’re rich and famous.” Many also showed their support for North by sharing congratulatory messages on the platform in spite of the hate comments. One user wrote, “Coming to save pop music.” Another said, “COMING FOR THAT YOUNGEST GRAMMY WINNER TITLE OH IKTR!”
