Veteran actor Nana Patekar has frequently been embroiled in infamous scandals. In a recent reflection on his rift with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the actor acknowledged that he is a violent guy. He added that he would have found himself in the “underworld” if he hadn’t been an actor.

Nana Patekar acknowledged in a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan that people were afraid of him because he was “too violent” and kept quiet. He said that although he is less violent now, in the past, his deeds would speak for themselves. He mentioned that even now, he still beats those who provoke him.

He continued by recalling his notorious altercation with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the Khamoshi filming set. “If I had not become an actor, I would have been in the underworld. I am not kidding. I am extremely serious about this. Acting gave me an outlet. This became a way of me taking out my frustration,” he said.

“There are possibilities of me returning to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, but I guess the way I yelled at him, he must have felt bad. We didn’t work after that,” he added.

“I miss working with the Heeramandi actor,” the actor said, but he is “rude.”

Nana said that he never made an effort to explain anything to him, emphasizing that if one feels the need to explain minor details to another, what good is it to have known one another for so long? “I don’t even see it as my fault. Let’s see, we will sort it out when the time comes,” he wrapped up.

Regarding his career, Nana is now preparing for the premiere of his next movie, Vanvaas t. Simrat Kaur, Rajpal Yadav, and Utkarsh Sharma in lead roles. Directed by Anil Sharma, the movie is set to release on December 20, 2024.
