Netflix: Adolescence surpasses Stranger Things S4, emerging second in the viewership

Adolescence featuring Owen Cooper has proved to be brilliant in all aspects. After its official release on March 13, 2025, the psychological crime drama captured attention beyond the viewership circle. As per the recent data, Netflix displayed that the show has reserved its spot in the top 10 most-watched English shows.
Most-streamed Shows on Netflix
Adolescence is just behind Jenna Ortega-starrer Wednesday season 1, amidst the news of the upcoming season 2 in the Netflix Tudum event. The Stephen Graham starrer has fetched 141.2 million views in the previous quarter of the year, and continue to grow like no other. On the other hand, the horror series managed a whopping 252.1 million views.
Philip Barantini’s directorial has leaped ahead of Stranger Things Season 4, which minted almost 140.7 million views. The streamer listed the top 10 based on the views collected in the first 90 days post release. Korean survival show Squid Game emerges at the top of non-English section with 265.2 million views for season 1 while 192.6 million for season 2. The Lee Jung Jae starrer will be back for the much awaited final instalment on June 27.
In the English rankings chart, DAHMER: Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story arrived in the fourth place, thereafter Bridgerton season 1, The Queen’s Gambit, Bridgerton season 3, The Night Agent season 1, Fool Me Once, and Stranger Things Season 3, in respective order.
