Netizens slams CID makers for replacing Shivaji Satam with Parth Samthaan as ACP Pradyuman

The character of ACP Pradyuman, faced a sudden shift after two decades, through an episodic end to the fan’s favourite.

Sony TV’s classic television show, CID with a run-time more than two decades is back with a new season after an unprecedented gap. However, amidst the excitement, the makers of the show has been garnering hate for a massive change that left the fans devastated. As per the recent reports, the famous character of ACP Pradyuman played by Shivaji Satam will be replace by a new face.

The veteran actor has been the face of the show since 1998, sharing space with Dayanand Shetty (Daya) and Aditya Srivastava (Abhijeet). Recently, the makers unveiled Parth Samthaan as the lead, than endorsing senior inspector Abhijeet as the frontrunner.

Fans seemed upset by the reprisal. A post read, “No one here is hating Parth (at least not CID Fans) they are upset with the decision for casting him as ACP senior of Daya and Abhijeet. They gave life to the show and now we can’t imagine them working under him. Its a disrespect and injustice to them as well as to CID Audience.”

Another tweet read, “Wait wait what..?? He is replacing shivaji satam as ACP..?? And daya and Abhijeet will work under him..?? No offense to the parth but that’s kind of ridiculous.. There is a reason we love cid.. And why have someone else as Acp when we already have abhijeet.. ??”

A fan stated on X, “But making him ACP, senior of Daya and Abhijeet is an injustice to the OG Cid viewers and to the trio who gave life to the show. Daya and Abhijeet are legends and they don’t deserve such treatment in the show.”

Meanwhile, a fan questioned, “Why can’t they just promote Abhijeet?” Now, fans will be witnessing the Parth in the garb of ACP Ayushmann, serving as an absolute shocker for people who idolized the character.

Talking to a Saas Bahu Aur Betiyaan, Parth verified the news, “It’s actually a very big responsibility to fill in such shoes, such humongous shoes of ACP Pradyuman since I’m replacing him as ACP Ayushmann. It’s a new character, a new story. We will take the story forward with new thrill and suspense.”

The episode declaring ACP Pradyuman departure post a bomb blast also featured filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia’s comeback as Netra gang leader K Barbosa. The ensemble also noticed Pradyuman’s ring after the mishap, making it evident while some still speculates his return.
