New anime arrives soon: The Quintessential Quintuplets Specials II reveals official trailer
As it examines the interactions between Futaro and the quintuplets in a new stage of their life, the program promises to combine comedy and romance.
A brand-new anime special based on the events that transpire following the first series of the adored anime The Quintessential Quintuplets is slated to premiere. On September 20, 2024, The Quintessential Quintuplets Specials 2, the sequel, which is based on an original concept overseen by Negi Haruba, the originator of the series, will make its premiere in Japan.
Following their nuptials, which marked the end of both the manga and the last anime adaptation, Futaro Uesugi and the Nakano quintuplets will be the subject of the upcoming anime special. The story follows the now-adult quintuplets and Futaro on their honeymoon to Hawaii, where they get involved in a number of hilarious and surprising situations.
The romantic comedy gains a dramatic touch when an unexpected incident generates concern during the honeymoon, which is supposed to be a calm holiday. A sneak peak at Futaro and the quintuplets’ upcoming adventures navigating life after marriage sets the tone for the new show.
Produced by Bibury Animation Studio, the anime will be directed by Masato Jinbo, who previously worked on The Quintessential Quintuplets the Movie. In addition, Masato Katsumata will be back to supervise character designs, with Jinbo will uphold the plot.
While a limited theatrical release in Japan is the only guaranteed release date for the special, fans outside of Japan are anxiously anticipating word on its potential availability beyond the region. Crunchyroll offers streaming for the anime’s first two seasons as well as the feature film’s conclusion, so newcomers may catch up before the honeymoon special premieres.
However, the aforementioned date may witness an alteration, as per the discretion of the makers.
