NewJeans recently announced that they would be working independently after terminating their deal with ADOR. The group has started a new chapter in their career by creating an Instagram account called “jeanzforfree.” Additionally, each member has uploaded a new video verifying the information.
NewJeans’ new social media profile called “jeanzforfree,” was launched on December 14, 2024. On the account, Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein shared their initial update. They wrote, “It’s really us!” and “We’re going to be living here,” while promising to stay connected with their fans.
To discuss their future plans, NewJeans called an emergency press conference on November 28, 2024. NewJeans sent ADOR a legal notice earlier on November 13, 2024, requesting that the business respond to serious violations of their exclusive contracts within 14 days.

The organization threatened to terminate their contracts if they did not comply with their demands. The members said during the press conference that the rectification time would conclude at midnight on November 28, 2024, but they also said that HYBE and ADOR didn’t seem to want to make changes or take their concerns into account.
The group made it clear that ADOR’s violation of duty was the reason for the termination of their contracts, not their own fault.
ADOR declared that it has sued the Seoul Central District Court to preserve its exclusive contracts with Newjeans in reaction to the contract termination. The agency apologized for the incident in a formal statement, stressing that the choice to file a lawsuit was not made hastily.
