Star Wars series ‘The Acolyte’ releases intriguing trailer featuring Lee Jung; Watch

Actor Lee Jung Jae, renowned for his role in the famous Korean series Squid Game, previously stated that he will appear in the Star Wars spinoff series The Acolyte. The creators of the much-anticipated series recently released its official trailer, in which Jung Jae can be seen playing the role of Jedi Master. The series will be available on the OTT platform Disney+ starting June 4.
The trailer starts with a Jedi master (portrayed by Jung Jae) teaching a group of Younglings about trust and life through meditation, while a clocked assassin attempts to assassinate a fellow Jedi. A group of Jedi then start on a search across many galaxies to find the killer before she kills them.
Everything about The Acolyte
According to Variety, The Acolyte is set in the Star Wars universe during the High Republic era, 100 years before the events of the franchise’s prequel trilogy. According to the series’ official logline, “An investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (played by Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems.”

Amandla Stenberg, Carrie-Anne Moss, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Many Jaccinto, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo and Rebecca Henderson all have major roles in the forthcoming show.
