A big announcement recently made by Disney Channel is likely to thrill fans of the well-liked television show Wizards of Waverly Place. The original cast members Selena Gomez and David Henrie have been given the green light for a sequel series, in which they will also act as executive producers. The new series is slated to be released this autumn. David Henrie will return as a series regular, taking on the role of Justin Russo, while Selena Gomez will guest star in the first episode as Alex Russo.
Production on the Wizards sequel is set to start next month in Los Angeles, with Selena Gomez and David Henrie taking the lead both in front of and behind the camera. The series’ creators just shared then-and-now photographs, revealing the first look. The two stars can be seen in both photos sitting together in their living room.
