Months after receiving harsh criticism for his Squid Game 2 Instagram post, actor Park Sung Hoon might be getting ready to make a comeback to the small screen.

Actress Han Ji Min is also evaluating the actor’s potential lead part in the upcoming romantic K-Drama Efficient Dating for Singles (working title), according to several reports.

In response to the casting rumors, Park Sung Hoon’s agency said that another actor is also being considered, given the amount of buzz surrounding his next move.

BH Entertainment mentioned in a statement: “We understand that there is an actor being considered as a higher priority than Park Sung Hoon for Efficient Dating for Singles. We are currently waiting for a response.”

Efficient Dating for Singles, based on a webtoon, follows contemporary single men and women who aim for relationships that are efficient by striking a balance between love and pragmatic considerations. Park Sung Hoon’s agency represents actress Han Ji Min, who is now evaluating the offer favorably.

For months, Park’s career has been questioned since he made an unexpected social media remark about his Squid Game 2 character. The actor received harsh criticism for posting a parody of Squid Game from a Japanese sexual movie after the season debuted on Netflix. Later, in a media interview, he apologized with tears and gave an explanation.
