The Pirates of the Caribbean is emerged as the cult favourite among the cinephiles and critics. The film is already in production for couple of years and people have been estimating its release soon. Amidst this, fans were inquisitive to know about whether Johnny Depp will return to the franchise as Jack Sparrow.
Amid the doubts, Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer of the film franchise, sat down to converse with Screen Rant, where he spilled the beans over the upcoming movie.
The producer had given some hints over the return of the original cast members, however no names have been confirmed. Bruckheimer added that the film is currently in the making.
Johnny Depp’s character Jack Sparrow to be reprised?
The media reports claimed that Johnny Depp was erased from the franchise after Amber Heard’s allegations of abuse by Disney.
After the decision of his eviction, he expressed no interest in returning, despite winning the litigation battle. Speaking with the outlet, Bruckheimer shared, “We’re working on a screenplay. Hopefully we’ll get it right—and then we’ll make it. We really want to make it, that’s for sure,” quoting the procedure of filming.
He added that the film will explore a new realm. Bruckheimer said, “Well, not all new actors. We’ll have some back. I’m not going to tell you which ones—you’ll have to guess.”
Hence, the anticipated film is now in the early stages of development. The initial films told the tales of characters Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, and Elizabeth Swann.The fifth installment, Dead Men Tell No Tales, also hinted at the possibilities of changes in many spheres.
