Kate, the Princess of Wales of Britain, made her second public appearance of the year at the Wimbledon tennis championships, where she watched the men’s singles final while undergoing preventative chemotherapy for cancer.

Before the competition between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic, tennis fan Kate, patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, walked into the arena with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, sporting a bright purple dress.

The presence of cancer was discovered during the significant abdominal surgery that the 42-year-old Princess of Wales, who is the spouse of Prince William, the heir apparent, had in January. Since then, she has been receiving treatment.

In June, she returned to the public eye by participating in “Trooping the Colour,” the yearly military procession held to commemorate King Charles’ official birthday.

“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,” she wrote in a personal note.

“My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months,” she added.

The only information provided by her office, Kensington Palace, regarding the nature of her cancer or her health is that treatment started in February.

Charles, 75, has been receiving cancer treatment as well. He resumed his public duties in April and has since kept himself busy, albeit with fewer daily obligations to minimize the risks to his recuperation.
