Rashmika Mandanna responds to Allu Arjun’s arrest: ‘Can’t believe what I am seeing right’

After Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday post the death of a fan during the December 4 launch of Pushpa 2: The Rule, his co-star publicly defended him. In a message, the actor, who was also at the Sandhya Theatre for the premiere, described his arrest as “disheartening.”

Rashmika wrote “I can’t believe what I am seeing right now. The incident that happened was an unfortunate and deeply saddening incident. However, it is disheartening to see everything being blamed on a single individual. This situation is both unbelievable and heartbreaking.”

Actor Nani tweeted, “That was an unfortunate incident and it was heart breaking. We should all learn from the disaster and be lot more careful here after and introduce measures to make sure this doesn’t happen again. We are all at fault here. One person is not responsible for this.”

Nithiin added his concern on X, “It’s heartbreaking to witness such tragedies. I believe we must reflect on how to prevent them in the future. This isn’t about finding fault but about learning, growing, and taking collective responsibility to ensure a safer and better tomorrow.”

Sundeep Kishan penned, “How can One Man be Held Responsible for an extremely unfortunate Crowd Event Gone Wrong, Especially in a country that thrives on its Population & Celebratory Gatherings, We need to learn from this & make sure it doesn repeat again rather than point blame. Love You Allu Arjun Anna.”

Rashmika, Allu Arjun, Allu Sneha Reddy, his wife, went to the Sandhya Theatre on December 4th to see Pushpa 2: The Rule debut. Hundreds of fans flocked to the theater for his visit, causing a stampede-like scene that grew out of control. It resulted in a woman’s death and her son’s hospitalization. Since then, the police have arrested Arjun and the theater’s management and filed a formal complaint against them.
