Rhea Chakraborty opens up on life after Sushant Singh Rajput, media trial and litigation

Actor Rhea Chakraborty is starting anew following a turbulent period marked by trolling and public scrutiny. She debuted on the podcast on Saturday with Chapter 2, which she claims accurately captures her mental state at the moment.

After her actor boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput passed away in 2020, Rhea found herself in the center of a media storm and under constant scrutiny. She feels like she’s finally taken charge of her story now.

Starting afresh 

In September 2020, Rhea was taken into custody in connection with Sushant’s death in a drug-related case. In October 2020, bail was granted to her. On Saturday, she launched her debut podcast, which had actor Sushmita Sen as the guest.

Rhea mentioned during the conversation, “Ok, people are confused about what I do for a living anymore. I am not acting in films, I do other things, I do motivational speaking and that’s how I earn my money.”

She added, “Everybody knows my ‘chapter one’, or assumes that they know it. I did go through a lot of phases of feeling different emotions, being different versions of myself. Finally, I am feeling more me, but a newer version, like a rebirth. And I want to celebrate that with anyone who has a ‘chapter two’. I want to say that it is ok to have a chapter two, to start again, to move on in life. I want to celebrate change.”

Rhea’s transformation 

Rhea once said that the “personality” she cultivated for the public was what people “hated,” not her.

She joked about her “superpower,” which allows her to divide a room. She claimed that some believe she has done something, even going so far as to believe she practices “black magic.” Some, on the other hand, believe that she is a brave girl who battled through everything.
