Sean “Diddy” Combs will remain incarcerated as a result of the prosecution’s bombshell text messages to his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura that were read aloud in court after the hotel attack.

The rapper, who appeared in court a second time in New York City, is facing charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

He appeared in court a second time after proposing a $50 million bond amount to be released from the infamous Metropolitan Detention Center. However, the federal court rejected his plea.

Judge Andrew Carter of District Court dismissed Diddy’s attorneys’ argument that the rapper did not constitute a threat to the public, saying that there was “no condition or set of conditions” that would ensure the community’s safety or that he would not speak with witnesses.

The texts written by Diddy to Ventura were made public in court that read, “Call me, the cops are here. I got six kids. You, please call. I’m surrounded. You gonna abandon me all alone.”

The prosecution made alleged text messages that Diddy wrote to his ex-girlfriend public in an effort to support their argument that he should stay behind bars until his trial, according to the UK Independent.

Prosecutor Emily Johnson read aloud text exchanges from other accused victims in court. While presenting a text from another women who laid accusation on the rapper for holding her by hair and pulling down the hallway, Johnson mentioned,  “You always want to show me that you have the power, and you knock me around. I’m not a rag doll, I’m someone’s child.”

Upon reviewing the allegations made in Cassie Ventura’s lawsuit from November, the prosecution asserted that Diddy received a communication from a second alleged victim: “I feel like I’m reading my own sexual trauma.”

“It makes me sick how three solid pages word for word is exactly my experiences and my anguish.”

The rapper pleaded not guilty to accusations of sex trafficking, racketeering, and supplying prostitution with transportation. Marc Agnifilo, Diddy’s attorney, defended his client by saying, “Diddy is an innocent man with nothing to hide.”
