An intriguing pitch was made in the most recent episode (February 12) of Shark Tank India 4 when a Season 2 pitcher returned with a new venture and inspired the Sharks with his tale. The Sharks proposed a 5-Shark agreement since they were left impressed.

The Sharks are shocked when Ashutosh Roy, the founder of the high-end apparel firm Offmint, requests barely Rs 10 for 1% stock. He claims that the Sharks’ belief in him and encouragement after his appearance on Season 2 of Shark Tank India transformed his life. He failed to close a transaction while there with the founder of another brand.

Vineeta Singh recalled him, but neither Aman Gupta nor Namita Thapar did. Since he had no equity in the company they were pitching for at the moment, the Sharks encouraged him to defend his rights and speak with the founder.

When Anupam Mittal asked him to tell his narrative about starting the present company, the pitcher disclosed that the day he appeared on Shark Tank India 2, he lost his father. He broke down as he talked about how having to take care of his family was the final straw for him. The narrative of the pitcher, who is from Bihar, touched the Sharks. When he told his story, Aman Gupta claimed he experienced chills.

Roy continued by outlining the brand’s sales data and statistics and revealing that Rani Ahluwalia was a co-founder who contributed Rs 5 crore. He claimed to have the money but only requested Rs. 10 because he needed the Sharks’ experience.

Anupam Mittal had reservations, but Namita Thapar was prepared to move forward with a 5-Shark contract. They agreed to provide a USP after asking him about it and other aspects of his brand.

The five sharks, Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh, Peyush Bansal, and Namita Thapar, gave Ashutosh Rs 10 lakhs in exchange for 4% shareholding.
