Shin Ye Eun heaped in praise for her performance in The Glory. She portrayed the teenaged counterpart of Park Yeon Jin, the primary antagonist.  Park Yeon Jin’s use of a hot curling iron to torment a classmate is among the most well-known moments.

Shin Ye Eun discussed how difficult it was to film it in an episode of The Omniscient Point of View. She was asked by her co-stars on The Glory and The Secret Romantic Guesthouse, two of her K-Dramas, about which was more difficult to shoot.

Shin Ye Eun stated “It’s acting, and honestly we all film knowing that we’re only acting. But in that moment, like you just think, “what am I doing?” It was a cold curling rod anyway that I was holding up to her, but the actress was crying her eyes out. So I just thought like, “what am I doing?” and I ended up getting an outtake like that. When I went home, I ended up having nightmares.”

She even disclosed that she was so sensitive during the filming of The Glory that she was unable to sleep without earplugs at the time. Fortunately, her efforts were rewarded, as The Glory went on to become one of the most popular dramas in South Korea in 2023.
