South Korean celebrities extends large donations to help people recuperate from recent wildfires

The disaster have now burned over 36,300 acres of land.

South Korean celebrities have come forward in response to the disastrous wildfires.  Areas like Uiseong and Andong were almost 70% controlled, thanks to the efforts of more than 3,700 firefighters, 76 aircraft, and 530 vehicles.

In order to help victims in the Yeongnam region, which has been particularly hard impacted by the fires, singer Lee Chan Won has donated 100 million KRW. Lee, whose birthplace of Ulsan was also damaged, had a deep personal connection to the cause, according to his agency, and he expressed his wish that individuals affected by the calamity will recover quickly.

Famous for his charitable work, comedian Yoo Jae Suk has donated 50 million KRW to lessen the financial strain on the impacted locals. Yoo expressed his want to provide some assistance to the victims and hoped that everyone enduring hardship in the wake of the fires would soon be able to resume their regular lives.
