Squid Game S2: A stipulated analysis of players and their jersey number
On August 12, Netflix unveiled a fresh teaser for Squid Game season 2.
Wi Ha Joon, Gong Yoo, Lee Jung Jae, and Lee Byung Hun will all be making cameos in the next season of Squid Game. But in the upcoming season, a great group of new cast members will also be joining the show, including Park Sung Hoon, Im Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, and more. Let’s look at each character’s possible player count for season 2.
Even though Lee Jung Jae is slated to return as player 456—what are the digits assigned to the other characters? Pinkvilla has established some speculated guess in their published article, as stated below.
Park Gyu Young appears to be player 222 next, as seen from the back. She also had a similar hairstyle in Sweet Home, which you can see in the Squid Game 2 teaser. In case of player 380, given the character’s physical similarities to the actor in the Netflix teaser, it could be Lee Jin Wook. However, since the character’s hairdo resembles his from The Glory, it could also be Park Sung Hoon.
While Jo Yuri, a former member of IZ*ONE, is most likely to play 044, fans have speculated that former member of BIGBANG T.O.P will play at position 230.
While it’s hard to tell from the teaser about Im Siwan’s backside appearance, player 124 is too hard to predict, but as per a stipulated guess no. 380 could be Lee Jin Wook or Park Sung Hoon.
Lee David appears to be the actor behind No. 125, and veteran actress Kang Ae Sim could play player 149. A rough guess for player 390 is Yang Dong Geun.
On the other hand, Squid Game season 2 is scheduled to debut on December 26. This marks the return of the series three years after the first season’s explosive debut. Squid Game season 3 is also scheduled to debut in 2025.
