A star kid’s career in the Hindi film industry can go in one of two ways when they start out. They either fail or become successful like Alia Bhatt did through talent and good fortune. Let’s look at some famous children who had their film auditions turned down early in their careers:
Ananya Panday
Ananya Panday, the daughter of Chunky Panday, is presently experiencing her greatest moment in the spotlight due to her multifaceted role in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan (2023). She made her Bollywood debut in 2019 with Dharma Productions’ Student of the Year 2, but she actually went to audition for Aladdin, which came out the same year. The lead star was also required to sing by the producers, even though her scene in the audition clip went well. Ananya said she was rejected because she couldn’t sing.
Varun Dhawan
With the 2012 film Student of the Year, directed by Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan made his Bollywood debut. The actor, who is the son of actor David Dhawan, chose to try out for roles before landing this one in order to hone his acting abilities. He had gone by the aliases Rajesh or Ramesh during auditions. Varun disclosed in an interview that he had tried out for the roles of Dhobi Ghat (2010) and Life of Pi (2012). Although he was passed over for these movies, he was chosen for an advertisement.
Janhvi Kapoor
Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, is one of Bollywood’s busiest bees right now. The famous child, who made her acting debut in Dhadak (2018), previously disclosed that she had tried out for Dharma Productions. She was also passed over for a movie that KJo was supporting. Janhvi is currently preparing for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumarii, a Dharma romantic comedy starring Varun.
Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha Kapoor, the stunning daughter of Shakti Kapoor, is another well-known star child in Bollywood who has achieved remarkable success since her 2010 debut in Teen Patti. But the actor had tried out for a Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie before landing a part in Teen Patti. In an interview, Shraddha described the project as “important,” describing how she worked day and night to prepare for the audition. Junaid Khan
Junaid Khan, the son of Aamir Khan, is the newest celebrity child on the list, having started his career in Bollywood this year. With his versatile performance in Maharaj, which was based on the 1862 Maharaj Libel Case, he made a lasting impression on the audience. However, Junaid had tried out for Laal Singh Chaddha (2022), his father’s most recent release, prior to making his major debut. The famous child revealed in an interview that although Aamir was eager for him to feature in the movie, which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, things did not work out.
