The final season of Stranger Things has the viewers ready, but they are undoubtedly unprepared to receive a significant c character from the previous seasons. The character in inquisition is Matthew Modine, who portrayed Papa in the action and science fiction series. Papa is Dr. Martin Brenner, the head of Hawkins Lab.
The Full Metal Jacket star hinted that the character may not be as dead as he appeared in Stranger Things Season 4-Part 2 in a recent interview with Vulture, titled Matthew Modine Doesn’t Think His Stranger Things Time Is Up.
“I wouldn’t want him to be dead,” Modine stated.
The actor further asked, “How did he [Brenner] survive the Demogorgon? How did he survive One?”

One final thing Modine asked Eleven during his interview was, “You didn’t think it was going to be that easy, did you?” Modine’s character just “thwarts her” after Millie Bobby Brown’s character uses her powers against Dr. Brenner after blowing three guards in the air.
The actor went on to say that Eleven was unable to use her abilities against Papa, which may be a sign that Dr. Brenner is more “than meets the eye?”
According to numerous online speculations, fans have long claimed that Dr. Brenner is both a client and the president of his lab.
He was, nonetheless, widely regarded as the first government agent with psychic abilities. It also makes it evident how Dr. Brenner knew to encourage the kids to exercise their psychic abilities.
If the stories are accurate, Papa may use his as-yet-undiscovered magical abilities when he makes a final appearance.
