Stree 2 BO Collection: Shraddha Kapoor-starrer becomes the highest opener of the year

On July 4th, Amar Kaushik’s eagerly anticipated follow-up to the smash horror-comedy Stree opened in theaters. According to Sacnilk.com, the film, which starred Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles, is estimated to have made ₹54.35 crore on its opening day in India.

The website claims that on Wednesday, Stree 2 had a few special opening premieres and made ₹8 crore. The movie earned about ₹46 crore on its first day of release, bringing its total earnings to an approximated ₹54.25 crore. This surpasses both Fighter and Kalki 2898 AD (Hindi) to become the highest opening day grosser of 2024. Considering that it took six days for Stree to earn ₹ 54.88 Cr in net revenue in India, these numbers represent record openings. On its first day of release in Hindi, the movie had a 75.09% occupancy rate.
