Stree 2 BO estimates: The Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao-starrer exceeds Pathaan & Gadar 2
The film starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao aims to surpass Jawan’s lifetime receipts and become the highest-grossing Hindi film ever.
Stree, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is maintaining its long-running box office success in India. According to estimates, the Amar Kaushik-directed horror comedy grossed Rs 22.50 crore in its fourth weekend, bringing the total to Rs 523.50 crore. With this, the Dinesh Vijan and Jio Studios-produced picture has become the second highest-grossing film in Hindi cinema, surpassing the lifetime receipts of Pathaan (Rs 513 crore) and Gadar 2 (Rs 515 crore).
Jawan grossed Rs 555.50 crore at the box office in Hindi, and with another three weeks on the run
The trend from Monday will provide insight into the film’s possibilities of topping the Rs 555 crore mark, as it will be a race to the finish. National Cinema Day is on September 20th, and it could be on this day that Stree 2 makes history as the highest grossing Hindi film of all time.
The Rs 500 crore club and lifetime figures of Bahubali 2 appeared to be a pipe dream in the post-pandemic environment, but things have altered dramatically over the last year and a half. While Pathaan began the proceedings in January 2023, Gadar 2, Jawan, and Animal followed suit by grossing Rs 500 crore.
Stree 2 had the biggest fourth Sunday of all time and became the first Hindi film to reach double digits on the fourth Sunday.
