Jaat is now running on the theaters starring Sunny Deol and Randeep Hood roles. It have managed to win over the viewers as it continue to relish a decent run. Nonetheless, the team recently was slammed with FIR against Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, and Vineet Kumar Singh stating a controversial scene from the film. To which, the team has responsibly reacted by removing the contentious part from the film.  The scene which caused an imposition of a FIR, allegedly hurt religious sentiments of a particular community.

Jaat looped in controversy

On April 18, 2025, director of the film posted on Instagram, “There has been a backlash for a specific scene in the film. The scene has been removed from the film with immediate effect.”

The statement added, “Our intention was not to hurt any religious sentiments. We deeply regret it and have taken a quick action of deleting the scene from the film. We sincerely apologize to everyone whose beliefs have been hurt.”

As reported by The Times of India, a First Information was filed at the Jalandhar police station. The FIR read that the controversial scene degraded the Christian community and henceforth, a complaint was lodged under the section 299 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

In conversation with NDTV, the complainant said, the film’s director, writer, and producer purposefully released it during the holy months of Good Friday and Easter, and it created nationwide riots, and sow discontent. He also called for the movie to be scrapped off completely.
