Sydney Sweeney is back with her cherished character Cassie in the new season of Euphoria, starring Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, among others. The star stated that this season will be absolutely “unhinged.”

In an interview with Empire Magazine, she shared that that Cassie will appear the happiest and yet the craziest in season 3. “I have such a spot in my heart for Cassie, and I hold her really close and dear.”
The actress added, “She is crazy. She makes so many mistakes. She’s flawed on so many levels, but she does it all from a place of love. It could be a sad version of love as well. It’s so much fun to play a character who is as crazy as she is. Sam [Levinson] is such a brilliant filmmaker to work with, because I’ll read something, then I’ll call him, and I’m like, ‘Let’s go crazier.’ And he’s like, ‘I’m all in.’ And this season is unhinged.”

The makers earlier verified that the show began production in January this year. Euphoria disclosed its dark storyline in the second season, wherein Cassie was looped in mystically with Maxie’s abusive boyfriend, Nate.
The new season will be released online globally by the end of year or early 2026.
Sweeney has also completed filming an untitled biopic of Christy Martin.
