Tamil superstar Vijay hosts special Iftar in Chennai; pictures from the event goes viral

On Friday, Tamil superstar Vijay, who will soon join the political scene with his Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party, hosted an Iftar in Chennai. During Ramadan, the actor enjoyed meal with the guests and participated in the prayers before they broke fast while sporting a skullcap.
ANI posted glimpses from the event and wrote, “Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam founder and chief Vijay hosts ‘Iftar’ during Ramzan month, in Chennai.” Vijay appeared in complete white ensemble.
In another video that is doing the rounds online, Vijay expressed gratitude to everyone for attending the Iftar at his request and demonstrating “brotherhood.” The actor seems happy to attend the function at the Royapettah YMCA. A fan page on X (previously Twitter) shared a photo of him breaking fast and praying with others.
Other images and clips showed his fans taking photos with him as he entered the Iftar event.
Vijay will next star in Jana Nayagan, directed by H Vinoth, and was previously seen in Venkat Prabhu’s 2024 movie The GOAT. The actor said that it would be his last movie at one of his TVK rallies. In response to those who questioned the shift, he said that his 69th movie would be the last one in his playing career. He reaffirmed his commitment and stated that he would prefer to concentrate on politics.
