Taylor Swift reigns the Spotify Wrapped 2024; Sabrina Carpenter’s song becomes the fav

According to Variety, Taylor Swift became the most-streamed artist on Spotify this year, a distinction she also made last year.

Once again, Taylor Swift appears on the year’s Spotify Wrapped list. Spotify’s annual Wrapped event, which reflects on year-end data gathered based on user interactions on the site, was released on Wednesday.

Due in major part to her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department, Taylor Swift became the most-streamed artist. The album received the most streams on the platform. In addition, the album broke two other records: it became the first to reach 300 million streaming in a single day and it achieved over 1 billion streams in the first week of its April release.

Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter, meanwhile, has had over 1.6 billion plays worldwide, making it the most streamed song. Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things,” Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather,” Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control,” Djo’s “End of Beginning,” Hozier’s “Too Sweet,” The Weeknd’s “One of the Girls” featuring Jennie and Lily Rose Depp, Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer,” Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga’s “Die With a Smile” are among the other songs that are ranked.

This year, Taylor’s songs received 26.6 billion plays on the site overall. Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “Short n’ Sweet,” Karol G’s “Mañana Será Bonito,” Ariana Grande’s “Eternal Sunshine,” Taylor Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version), SZA’s “SOS,” and Taylor Swift for Lover were the other most streamed albums and artists, in order of ranking.

Additionally, Spotify added the Wrapped badge to Taylor Swift’s Spotify profile in celebration of this accomplishment for the worldwide music phenomenon.
