Taylor Swift smashes 35-year old record of the legend Michael Jackson
Swift also broke the record when she performed there for seven nights, with Jack Antonoff and Florence Welch.
Taylor Swift broke pop icon Michael Jackson’s 35-year record by performing eight times at Wembley Stadium during her August 20 Eras Tour concert.
BBC News stated, “You just made me the first solo artist to ever play Wembley eight times in a single tour.” They further added, “We will never, ever be able to thank you enough for it.”
The two performed sultry renditions of Getaway Car from the Reputation album and Death by a Thousand Cuts from her Lover album. Welch and Taylor, meanwhile, performed Florida for the first time together.
The artist gave a shoutout to the latter “I think a lot about why I’m lucky enough to get to do a show like the Eras Tour, and it’s because I’ve been fortunate enough to find friendships over the years that have been incredible collaborative and creative [forces].” She added, “I get to make music with one of my best friends in the world, and he’s here tonight.”
Swift further stated that Jack Antonoff produced a number of her favorite songs, which were also recognized with Grammy honors.
Numerous celebrities have attended the concerts at various locations since the start of the Eras Tour in 2023. Meg Ryan was one of the actresses who attended the event. The You’ve Got Mail actor referred to Swift as a “Queen” in an Instagram post.
The post caption read, “Last night at Wembley… WOW. Thank you, @taylorswift, You’re hands down the Queen!”
Concurrently, the singer is scheduled to embark on her Eras Tour in the United States, accompanied by Gracie Adams. On October 18, the artist will play at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.
