It’s official: Ted Lasso is returning with a new season! The cherished team is preparing for another soccer mayhem and endearing humor in season four.
Limited information regarding the one-season renewal were revealed in Apple TV+’s announcement on Friday, however it is anticipated that ten new episodes would premiere in 2026. Actors who play the part of a Cinderella soccer team and its management are still negotiating with the show. Sadly, Phil Dunster, who played Jamie Tartt, the gifted but irascible goal scorer, will not star in the upcoming season.
Additionally, Sam Obisanya’s actor, Toheeb Jimoh, will not be present in the forthcoming episodes. Jimoh, who played for the Nigerian national team in the alleged May 2023 series finale, was revealed by HBO on Thursday that he will be joining the cast of Industry for the next season, according to USA Today.
Jason Sudeikis’ close associate Brendan Hunt is anticipated to make a comeback as Coach Willis Beard. Hunt will continue to play both roles on and off screen. Hunt is also a producer on Ted Lasso. Brett Goldstein, who played the rugged but endearing Roy Kent, will also return to the role.
