The South Korean K-pop group THE BOYZ had earlier declared their intention to leave IST Entertainment and join ONE HUNDRED as their new agency. The organization will now have to rebrand under a new name after negotiations to trademark their name, despite their best efforts.

The BOYZ’s new agency, ONE HUNDRED, announced on December 4, 2024, that they could not agree to the terms that IST Entertainment had put out during trademark talks since they were considered irrational. The agency apologized, stating that they were unable to get a favorable result in spite of their best efforts.

In order to ensure a seamless and cordial transition for the group, ONE HUNDRED also underlined their commitment to pursuing talks until the contract’s expiration. The business promised that they were ready to make sure THE BOYZ could carry on with their operations under a stronger brand name, even if the talks ended in failure.

Onehundred has already started action to register other names, such as The Boys, The New Boyz, and TNBZ, in anticipation of the possible collapse in discussions with IST Entertainment. They anticipated the necessity to rebrand after the unsuccessful trademark rights talks, which is reflected in these efforts.

When their contracts with IST Entertainment expire on December 5, 2024, the Boyz will formally leave the company. The 11 members will then relocate to ONE HUNDRED, an entertainment company that MC Mong and Cha Ga Won, the chairwoman of p_Arc Group, co-founded in unison. Additionally, ONE HUNDRED is associated with INB100, which represents Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin of EXO, and Big Planet Made, which is home to musicians like Lee Seung Gi and Taemin of SHINee.
