The Summer I Turned Pretty! will end at season three. The popular series will come to an end with the forthcoming third season, according to an announcement made by Amazon Prime Video.

According to the synopsis, it delves into themes of first love, first heartbreak, and the enchantment of that one ideal summer. The streamer revealed the news on Friday, March 7, hinting at the 11-episode final season’s July 2025 release date.

Although the move was anticipated, the finale was nevertheless unexpected. There was no reason to prolong the plot, given the series is based on the trilogy of books of the same name by Jenny Han. In 2022, the program made its debut on OTT.

Important sub-themes like the bond between moms and their child and the enduring strength of strong female friendships are also covered in the multigenerational drama.

The coming-of-age series stars Lola Tung, Jackie Chung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Rachel Blanchard, Sean Kaufman, Rain Spencer, among others.

It is crafted by Sarah Kucserka, and Han, the author of the original book series. Mads Hansen, Karen Rosenfelt, Paul Lee, and Hope Hartman serve as the executive producers.
