Actor Lalit Manchanda, known for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Crime Patrol, was spotted dead in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday. According to a News18 report the police verified that the actor has died by suicide.

The report mentioned that Lalit was seen unconscious at his home on April 21. Local police was prompt in responding to the news. His body was left hanging, as per the reports, which was later shifted for the postmortem. As of now, no suicide note was traced, nor any foul play was involved.
Police is now negotiating with Lalit’s family and friends to get cognizance of the mishap. As stated by a source close to him, he was down with mental health issues and personal life crisis through the past few months.
On Tuesday, CINTAA posted on Instagram: “CINTAA expresses its condolences on the demise of Lalit Manchanda (member since 2012).”
