Triptii Dimri to portray this legendary actress in Netflix’s next; deets here

Triptii Dimri has a lot of intriguing movies coming shortly. She seemed to be getting ready for something noteworthy in the OTT market right now. According to reports, she is set to assume the role of legendary actress Parveen Babi in a biographical television series.

Dimri is slated to star in an OTT biographical series that will be based on the life and career of the late actress Parveen Babi, according to a recent report in Filmfare. According to the source, the Netflix series’ production is anticipated to start shortly. Shonali Bose, The Sky Is Pink fame, will direct it.

The portal stated, “Triptii’s dates have been locked. Director Shonali Bose and her team are working fast to start the shoot on this ambitious project.”

Meanwhile, Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming film also features Triptii Dimri. She and Shahid Kapoor will share the screen. Production of the untitled movie began on January 6, 2025. It is slated to premiere on big screens on December 5, 2025, backed by Sajid Nadiadwala.

The cast also includes actors Randeep Hooda and Nana Patekar. According to reports, the post-Independence underworld serves as the backdrop for the tentatively titled movie.

The love drama Dhadak 2, which also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi, is another project in Triptii’s pipeline. It will be promoted under the banner of Zee Studios, Dharma Productions, and Cloud 9 Pictures directed by Shazia Iqbal. Originally scheduled to hit theaters on November 22, 2024, it was delayed due to unknown reasons.
