Unni Mukundan starrer Malayalam film Marco, is nearing the end of its run at the box office.
At the worldwide box office, Marco, directed by Haneef Adeni, dominated and surpassed the Rs 100 crore milestone. It took 23 days for the film to reach this milestone, marking Unni Mukundan’s first career century. The film did very well in Keralan theaters, earning about Rs 45 crore. It was also quite successful in the Hindi market. Marco’s earnings on the North India circuit were estimated to be over Rs 12 crore. It’s interesting to note that on its first day in Hindi, it only cost Rs 1 lakh.

Marco positioned itself as one of 2024’s top performers. It was released over the pre-Christmas weekend, and will soon finish its one-month theatrical run. As of now, it is the ninth highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2024 worldwide. The A-rated violent action film would earn Rs 110 crore at the global box office if it continues to draw crowds for a few weeks.
Supported by Cubes Entertainment, the Unni Mukundan film easily defeated Tovino Thomas’s Identity and Mohanlal’s high-profile film Barroz at the Kerala box office. But when Asif Ali’s Rekhachithram arrived in its fourth weekend, things subtly slowed down.
