Even after five weeks, the historical drama starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna is still the biggest hit at the box office. During its remarkable run, the movie has achieved several noteworthy milestones, including surpassing the lifetime collections of Animal (Ranbir Kapoor) and Pathaan (Shah Rukh Khan).
The movie made ₹8 crore on Day 31 and its fifth Sunday at the box office, with ₹7.25 crore coming in Hindi and ₹0.75 crore in Telugu, according to Sacnilk. The total amount collected is ₹562.65 crore (₹13.95 crore in Telugu and 548.7 crore in Hindi).
Chhaava has outperformed the domestic box office receipts of Animal, the 2023 blockbuster crime drama directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Ranbir Kapoor. Over its theatrical run, the movie brought in ₹553.87 crore. The film, which was released in five languages—Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam received mixed reviews.
Another noteworthy accomplishment for Chhaava as it continues its run at the box office is that it has surpassed the domestic box office receipts of Shah Rukh Khan’s spy thriller Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand. During its run, the 2023 film brought in ₹543.09 crore.
The film directed by Laxman Utekar features the story of Maratha monarch Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. It stars Akshaye Khanna as Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, Diana Penty, Divya Dutta, and Rashmika Mandanna in important roles.
