When asked about the reaction to Suriya’s Kanguva and Thalapathy Vijay’s The GOAT in Telugu states, Vijay Sethupathi was seen giving a very thorough response ahead of the movie’s December 20, 2024, release date.

Vijay Sethupathi was asked in an interview with The Great Andhra why Telugu box office receipts for blockbuster movies like Kanguva and GOAT were so poor.

The actor said, “When I come for the promotion of my film, why should I talk about all this? Why should we talk about this?”

“People have trolled me in the past too. Everyone who does a business hopes to find success in it. Be it a hit or a flop, people invested in it, hoping it would be a success. Even now, before we release a film, we show it to people. Every film, be it my flop films also, we show it to people before release to understand the general opinion,” the actor added.

In Viduthaalai Part 2, Vijay plays the head of an extreme political party in the film, which is a follow-up to the 2023 film Viduthalai Part 1.

The film also stars Soori Saravana Subbiah, Balaji Sakthivel, Ilavarasu, Rajiv Menon, Bhavani Sre, and Gautham Vasudev Menon. Additionally, Bose Venkat, Kishore, Anurag Kashyap, and Manju Warrier all have important parts to perform.
