Park Ji Hoo’s Weak Hero Class 2 is ranking at the top since the release in April 25 on Netflix. It has successfully gained the top 5 spot as the most-watched Netflix shows in India, UK, Thailand, Philippines. During a conversation with The Korea Times on April 28, Park Ji Hoon disclosed that he cried post filming the concluding scene.
In Weak Hero Class 2, Park Ji Hoon appeared as the quiet yet rebellious Yeon Si Eun. His character arc witnessed an immense growth throughout the run time wherein he stood against the bullies and also developed friendships, for instance reuniting with his friend Ahn Su Ho (Choi Hyun Wook), after he revived from coma.
Why was Park Ji Hoon left teary eyed?
During his interview, he talked about this particular scene wherein he and his friend gazed at each other, “The emotions lingered long after the final shoot. Watching Si Eun’s last smile, I thought this is what we’ve all been running toward.” The actor added, “Not just the actors, but the director, crew and production team all seemed to share a single goal: to see this side of Si Eun.”
He asserted, “Memories from (seasons) 1 and 2 and moments on set, flashed before my eyes. I was so overwhelmed that I cried.” This eventually reveals the emotional side of Yeon Si Eun who might appear tough at face value but is brimming with much humaneness and sincerity.
This scene and the revelation was indeed a relief for fans who carried themselves with the burden that the protagonist had in his heart by the end of season one.
